Private Bali Day Tours

A private Bali day tour is a full-day (about 9-10 hours) or half-day (about 5-6 hours) car-and-driver experience reserved for your group only, led by a named local guide. Bali Experiences arranges these with vetted Bali-based guides and licensed drivers. Pricing below is date-stamped as of June 2026 and subject to change.

We are an independent Bali tour operator and booking concierge, not a hotel chain or the owner of the temples, waterfalls, and villages you visit. What we do is plan the route, assign a specific guide by name, confirm the private vehicle, and stay reachable on WhatsApp while you travel. You ride with the same guide all day, set the pace yourself, and skip the shared-bus stops you did not choose.

What does a private day tour actually include?

Every private day tour we arrange is built around a private air-conditioned vehicle and one dedicated guide-driver or guide-plus-driver pairing for your party. Group tours pool strangers into a 12-seat bus on a fixed clock; a private tour does not. The table below shows what is in the quoted price and what is paid separately, so there are no surprises at the end of the day.

Element Included in quoted price Paid separately
Private car + fuel + parking Yes
Named local guide / driver Yes
Hotel pickup & drop-off (south Bali) Yes
Bottled water in vehicle Yes
Temple, waterfall, attraction tickets No Yes (cash at gate)
Lunch No Yes (you choose the restaurant)
Optional activities (swing, rafting, ATV) No Yes (booked on request)
Guide tip No At your discretion

Keeping entrance fees and lunch separate is deliberate and honest. Bali attraction tickets change without much notice, and bundling them lets some operators quietly inflate the total. You pay the real gate price; we tell you roughly what to budget before you go.

How much does a private Bali day tour cost?

Below is our standard private-tour pricing as of June 2026, for a private vehicle and guide. Rates are per vehicle (not per person) for groups up to six in a minivan; smaller cars seat up to four comfortably. The IDR figure is the working rate; the USD figure is an approximate conversion at around IDR 16,300 to USD 1 and will drift with the exchange rate.

Tour type Duration Price (IDR, per vehicle) Approx. USD
Half-day private tour ~5-6 hours IDR 750,000 ~USD 46
Full-day private tour ~9-10 hours IDR 1,150,000 ~USD 70
Full-day + far east/north Bali ~11-12 hours IDR 1,500,000 ~USD 92
Two-day custom (per day) per day from IDR 1,250,000 ~USD 77

These are the operator rates Bali Experiences works with as of June 2026; entrance tickets and lunch are extra as noted above. Larger groups, a sunrise start, or a vehicle held overnight in north Bali can shift the figure, and we will give you the exact number in writing before you commit. We do not ask for full prepayment to hold a date.

Which itineraries can a named guide build for you?

You are not picking from three rigid packages. You tell your guide what kind of day you want, and the route is drawn around that. These four are the ones travelers ask for most often, and each can be trimmed to a half-day or stretched to a long full day.

  • Ubud classic full-day — Tegallalang rice terraces, a coffee tasting stop, Tegenungan waterfall, Goa Gajah, and Ubud market and palace. Good for first-timers who want the postcard Bali in one go.
  • East Bali temples & water — Tirta Gangga water palace, Lempuyangan “Gates of Heaven,” and Tirta Empul. Longer driving day; an early start beats the crowds at the gate.
  • Waterfall hunt (north/central) — Two to three waterfalls such as Sekumpul, Banyumala, or Tibumana, paced for people who actually want to swim, not just photograph.
  • Half-day south sunset — Uluwatu temple, the Kecak fire dance, and a Jimbaran seafood dinner. Ideal for arrival day or a slow morning.

Your guide knows which sites get jammed at which hour and reorders the stops so you are arriving as the tour buses are leaving. That sequencing is the real value of a local who drives these roads weekly, and it is hard to replicate from a generic itinerary printout.

Who guides the tour, and how honest is the setup?

Tours are led by Bali-based guides our team has worked with directly. They are conversational in English, licensed to drive the routes, and live on the island year-round. We will tell you your guide’s first name and a short profile when we confirm the booking, so you know who is meeting you at the lobby rather than “a driver.”

Here is the honest framing: Bali Experiences arranges and coordinates these tours. We are the concierge and operator on the booking side; the guides are local professionals, and the temples, waterfalls, and warungs are run by their own communities and owners. We do not claim awards or star ratings we have not earned, and we do not promise weather, crowd levels, or that a specific site will be open on your date. If a road is closed or a ceremony shuts a temple, your guide reworks the route on the spot.

On-island travel notes for this page are reviewed by Komang Sutrisna, our Bali-based regional guide coordinator, who cross-checks routes, current entrance fees, and seasonal road conditions before pricing goes out.

How do you book a private Bali day tour?

Booking is a short WhatsApp conversation, not a checkout funnel. Message us your dates, group size, hotel area, and the kind of day you want, and we send back a written itinerary, the named guide, and the exact price including a ticket-budget estimate. We hold the date without full prepayment.

  • WhatsApp: +62 811-2859-0000
  • Email: info@bali-experiences.com

Tell us “private day tour,” your travel date, and how many people, and we will reply with options the same day in most cases. If you are still deciding between a half-day and a full-day, message anyway and we will help you weigh it honestly against your arrival time and energy.
